Welcome back to everyone who went to camp. I hope the experience was wonderful and am glad to see all of our students back together. This week we will continue our work on the problem solving project. Students will be presenting their solutions this Wednesday. I can't wait to hear all their amazing ideas.
Also, we will continue this week with work on our earthquake project. The devastating earthquake in Japan this week is a grim reminder of mother nature's power. In our project we will focus on learning from these earthquakes and finding ways to make structures as safe as possible. We will also be learning about measurement and scale, using architectural and building skills. The goal is to empower students to become as knowledgeable and as safe as possible when dealing with unpredictable earthquakes.
