Learning Objectives:

Create
a climate of unity as a class and self-confidence individually

Create
an awareness of the numbers around us each day
·
Gain
a deeper understanding of the number line, integers, intervals, graphing, and
giving and accepting constructive feedback
Requirements:
1. Multiple Intelligences Test: Students will take
a multiple intelligence test. Through
this test they will learn about different learning styles and how they as
individuals learn best. They also will
be graphing the results and using feedback to improve a rough draft to a final
beautiful piece of work.
2. Mathematician
Profile:
Students will work on creating a profile of themselves using
numbers. This will include a math
autobiography and using numbers to define key events in their life.
3. Number
line of mine. Students will, using the integer number line,
make a timeline of themselves representing significant intervals of their life.
For enrichment, students can go “into the negatives” and document events on
their line that happened before they were born or document other major world
events throughout their lifetime.
